Harvey Stein is a professional photographer, educator, lecturer, author, and curator based in New York City. He currently teaches at the International Center of Photography. A frequent speaker on photography in the United States and internationally, he previously served as the Director of Photography at Umbrella Arts Gallery in Manhattan. Additionally, he has been a faculty member at several institutions, including the School of Visual Arts, New School University, Drew University, the Rochester Institute of Technology, and the University of Bridgeport. His ninth book, "Then and There: Mardi Gras 1979" will be released soon.
