Ryan Elwell is the Head of Camera Dept at MrBeast, where he leads all cinematography, lighting, and audio operations across the channel’s flagship productions. With 26 major videos produced annually—often deploying anywhere from 20 to 300+ cameras—his role involves managing large multi-unit crews, building out scalable camera workflows, and coordinating everything from handheld and cinema setups to complex RF systems and live feeds. He also served as Camera Supervisor for Beast Games Season 1, overseeing visual capture for one of the channel’s most logistically ambitious formats.

Before joining MrBeast, he worked as a freelance DP, shooting branded and commercial content for global cruise lines like Princess, Seabourn, Carnival, and Holland America. His background also includes work as a project manager and camera op with the NFL, where he was involved in live broadcast environments and multi-cam sports coverage.
