Bild Photo Walks give you the chance to explore NYC alongside the photo industry's top ambassadors. Get ready to learn new techniques and helpful tips while capturing memorable photographs along the way! No pre-registration is required.
Guided by the industry's top ambassadors, Bild Photo Walks offer a unique opportunity to enhance your photography skills in a real-world setting while learning how to maximize the use of your camera.
But Bild Photo Walks aren't just about capturing captivating images; they are also about experiencing and interpreting the world around you through the lens.

How to Participate:

Come Prepared: Bring a camera with fully charged batteries and empty memory cards. Wear comfortable shoes. A wide or telephoto lens is recommended, but there's no need for super-telephotos or tripods.

Check-in: Arrive up to 30 minutes early to secure your spot at the exhibitor booth. Availability is first come, first served. Each photo walk has a maximum capacity of 15-20 attendees, and check-in closes when capacity is reached.

Follow the Schedule: The Photo Walk Schedule will provide you with all the details you need, including day, time, sponsor, booth number, walk leader, and a brief description of each walk.

Each photo walk will take about 1 hour to complete.

- Visit Room 409 on the 4th floor of the Javits Center’s North Hall between 11am and 4pm on September 6-7.
- The reviews and round table discussions are on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early to secure your spot. No pre-registration is required.
- Bring 10-20 pieces of work presented in a print portfolio no larger than 13 x 19, or prepared in a folder on a tablet or laptop. Websites and online images will not be considered for review.

The Audio Experience
Room 401, 4th Fl. 9:30am-6pm
Take a deep-dive into the field of location sound recording and electronic news gathering, where time and setup are crucial. Anything can happen, and you must be ready at a moment's notice. You need to have the right pro audio equipment to quickly capture the best take. Visit our Audio Experience room on the 4th floor to see and hear the latest recording devices and microphones upon which professionals of every level out in the field can rely upon.
What to Expect:
The Audio Experience welcomes you with a spacious, acoustically optimized environment. Here, you will find six distinct sections, each showcasing a different type of audio gear:

Stroll down camera memory lane from the moment B&H opened its doors in 1973 to the present. The Museum will feature landmark imaging moments from the past 50 years with select vintage equipment collected from the leading photography brands, B&H Used Department, and the personal collections of long-time B&H employees.
Immerse yourself in a unique voyage through the evolution of the photo industry at B&H’s Camera Museum. The exhibit will showcase a collection of classic cameras and notable B&H milestones. From a modest mom-and-pop camera store to the leading international source for photo, video, and audio gear and expertise, you’ll see how far we’ve come in 50 years!

Kodak 16mm Film Workshop

While B&H is celebrating 50 years, 2023 is the 100th anniversary of 16mm filmmaking. Join us for a very special 16mm event presented by Kodak. The workshop will cover all the steps for shooting on 16mm film, from selecting and ordering film stock to loading Arri 16mm cameras. The program will start with an introduction and then lead into a hands-on 16mm film experience. No pre-registration needed.
Explore the timeless art of 16mm filmmaking during its centenary year. In partnership with Kodak, we're proud to offer a hands-on 16mm Film Workshop.
This workshop starts with an introductory session followed by two more in-depth, practical experiences that take you, step by step, through the 16mm film production process.
